Genesis of the Late Cretaceous Longquanzhan Gold Deposit in the Central Tan-Lu Fault Zone, Shandong Province, China: Constraints from Noble Gas and Sulfur Isotopes

The Longquanzhan deposit is one of the largest gold deposits in Yi-Shu fault zone (central section Tan-Lu zone) Shandong Province, China. It an altered-rock type which ore bodies mainly occur at contact between overlying Cretaceous rocks and underlying Neoarchean gneissic monzogranite. Shi et al. reported that this formed 96 ± 2 Ma using pyrite Rb–Sr dating method represents a new mineralization event Province 2014. In paper, we present He–Ar–S isotopic compositions to further decipher sources fluids responsible for mineralization. results show ?34S values pyrites vary 0.9‰ 4.4‰ with average 2.3‰. Inclusion-trapped sulfides have 3He/4He 40Ar/36Ar ratios 0.14–0.78 Ra 482–1811, respectively. These data indicate are derived from magmatic source, dominated by crustal components minor mantle contribution. Air-saturated water may be also involved hydrothermal system during ascending or shallow site. We suggest crust-mantle mixing signature genetically related Late lithospheric thinning along zone, triggers constantly uplifting asthenosphere surface persistent isotherm plane form mineralization-related level magma sources. This genetic model can applied, some extent, explain genesis other near within belt.
